Summarize your professional background relevant to Age Wave preparedness.

I’ve been a business client of the Southeastern Institute of Research, and am the publisher of the ultimate Baby Boomer product – a newspaper.  Also, in addition to advancing a community focused media business, I sit on several boards where age preparedness is a major issue, or a ticking time bomb.

What expertise or other strengths do you bring to the Older Dominion Partnership?

Strategic thinking, change leadership and just plain interested, curious and intrigued by the mission. I totally agree with John Martin’s vision. Hanging around the smart people already invested in this mission is stimulating as well.

What do you believe are the most pressing issues in Age Wave-preparedness in Virginia today?

Establishing this relatively new major issue as a top priority among the long-standing concerns of modern life. We have a chance to inject solutions before age preparedness becomes a crisis. We can see the future. We can avert disaster.

What advice do you have for age wave planning in Virginia?

Imagine if we can reinvent aging so it’s a victory rather than a consolation! Imagine if we can rebuild communities on this issue alone!
