Louis Rossiter is a health economist with special expertise in the role of competition in the financing and delivery of health services. He has published over 50 journal articles on health economics, many on the subject of health services for the elderly. He is a sole-authored book called "Understanding Medicare Managed Care" published by Health Administration Press in 2000.
What expertise or other strengths do you bring to the Older Dominion Partnership?
Lou Rossiter is on the Board of Regents of the National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health, DHHS, and a member of the Board of AcademyHealth as well as Vice Chair of the Coalition for Health Services Research. Lou Rossiter is the former Secretary of Health and Human Resources for the Commonwealth of Virginia, former deputy for policy to the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
What do you believe are the most pressing issues in Age Wave-preparedness in Virginia today?
Preparing employers for the dramatic changes in the workforce that will begin to occur in 2011 and accelerating as we go forward.
